Living in Forsyth County means being part of a vibrant, active, and community-driven area. For many of us, it also means being part of a community that absolutely loves dogs! Whether you already have a four-legged family member or are just a passionate supporter of animal welfare, our local calendar is packed with events that celebrate our canine companions.

Beyond our pet-friendly parks and trails, what makes living here special is how often our community spirit and our love for dogs come together. As your local Forsyth County real estate guide, I’m thrilled to highlight two fantastic upcoming events that are perfect for dog lovers, local families, and anyone looking to connect and give back right in our own backyard.

🐶 1. "Try-it" Dog Sports for Youth at Eagle’s Beak Park

If you have a child or teen who is a passionate dog lover, this event is a must-attend! The Shetland Sheepdog Club of Georgia and the Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club are joining forces to offer local youth an exciting and hands-on introduction to the world of American Kennel Club (AKC) dog sports.

Designed for young people ages 8 to 18, this event allows participants to interact with experienced handlers, watch professional demonstrations, and discover how engaging with dogs in sporting events fosters responsibility, physical fitness, and teamwork. For many, it's the start of a lifelong passion that can even lead to scholarship opportunities!
